01 / THE EXPERIENCEEXPERIENCE THAT BUILDS UNDERSTANDING

From a shared simulation
to a story to explore.

We give simulations a life beyond their final turn through stories that keep their decisions, discoveries, and perspectives alive.

A simulation brings participants into a situation with roles, competing priorities, and consequential decisions. Its outcomes capture how people responded—not simply how a scenario was expected to unfold.

Human Ledger transforms those decisions, tensions, and perspectives into cinematic, simulation-informed interactive narratives—playable anytime, anywhere. Participants can step into the simulation’s world, make their own choices, and return to explore another path, carrying the experience beyond a single session or group.

Our collaboration with Expert Theory connects simulations on its Providence platform with Human Ledger’s narrative development. Together, simulation and storytelling create an ongoing opportunity for discovery, discussion, and learning.

Capture decisions

Identify the actions, outcomes, and turning points that made the simulation meaningful, including the perspectives of participating subject-matter experts.

Shape & design the narrative

Build your simulation world through characters, scenes, and branching choices. Cinematic visuals—including animations and illustrations—bring its atmosphere and possibilities to life. From realistic settings to imagined worlds, the creative possibilities are endless.

Continue the reflection

Keep the experience ongoing. Invite new participants to play anytime, anywhere, revisit decisions, discover different outcomes, and carry those perspectives into discussion and learning.

02 / QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A closer look.

Does the narrative replay the simulation exactly?

The narrative is informed by the simulation, but it is a separately designed experience. We shape the source material into a story and clarify any adaptations or additional branches during development.

Can we begin with a simulation that has already happened?

Yes. We can review available reports, decisions, and outcomes to determine whether they provide a suitable foundation. The scope depends on the material, permissions, and learning goals. However, we typically facilitate the simulations ourselves, working with our simulation partners, to maintain consistent standards for preparation, participant engagement, and documentation—and to ensure the resulting material supports the intended learning goals and narrative development.

Can the experience include a discussion afterward?

Yes. A narrative can lead into a conversation about the decisions, tensions, and perspectives that emerged. The Assembly is Human Ledger’s space for gatherings and reflection. It also serves as a place to announce upcoming debrief events, both in person and virtually, so participants can reconnect, explore outcomes, and continue the conversation.
